Hello friends!
On my journey as a Christian, I've noticed something more and more. When I wasn't a Christian it did not stand out to me as much. As I have grown deeper into my relationship with Christ, I've noticed the glaring difference.
The focus of many living today is on money, power, status, attention, trends and other wordly pursuits. Christians are called to be different. We are set apart for Christ. We are here to live out God's purpose in a way that glorifies Him.
Does that mean we are perfect people? Far from it. We know we are sinners saved by grace and through faith. Please take heart in God's wisdom:
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:15-17
When faced with the ways of the world, please have the courage to stand apart. You are not of this world.
